GENDER PAY GAP REPORT

The Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap information) Regulations 2017 require the reporting of the difference between average earnings of male and female employees. Calculations from data taken as at 5 April 2017 are considered to be accurate and are as follows:
At the time the data was taken the company employed 1,065 people, of whom 69.75% were female and 30.25% were male.

Garden Centre and Restaurant employees represent the majority of our employees where the mean gender pay gap is -5% and the median zero.

20% of our board and 62.5% of our senior management team are female.

We have recruited 5 female employees into Head Office and Garden Centre Management positions in the reporting year.

Future projects include the development of our recruitment strategy and processes and the introduction of our management development programme focused on the growth of our internal talent.
