Gender Pay Gap Report

The Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap information) Regulations 2017 require the reporting of the difference between average earnings of male and female employees. Calculations from data taken as at 5 April 2020 are considered to be accurate and are as follows:

The Klondyke Group is a family owned and run business made up of 22 Garden Centre across the North East and North West of England, North Wales and Scotland with a Head Office based in Grangemouth in Central Scotland.

At the time the data was taken the company employed 1,082 people, of whom 70.2% were female and 29.8% were male.  Like many businesses, The Klondyke Garden Centres were closed with most employees being furloughed.

The Gender Pay calculations are based on those employees who were not furloughed on the 5th April 2020. 

Our business has responded well to the challenges faced by the Coronavirus Pandemic and Lockdown by created a safe and Covid Secure environment the work and shop as well as adapting our Head Office Team to Home and Hybrid working.  Opportunities to run our development Programme have been postponed and will commence again in 2021.
