A truly outstanding variety with vibrant red new shoots in February, changing to red-tipped golden leaved shoots. Masses of pink flowers open in June. Easy to grow, hardy, non-evergreen shrub. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil. Planting: Water your plant thoroughly before planting. Prepare the planting area and enrich with planting compost and general fertiliser. Remove the pot and plant in the hole so that the rootball top is level with the soil surface. Firm soil after planting and water regularly, especially during dry weather. If planting in containers, use a good quality potting compost. Aftercare: Snip off faded flowers in summer to tidy the plant. Cut back all stems to 10cm in winter to promote strong leaf colour in spring.
