A NEW Pot has arrived!!

We are working with Allensmore Nurseries to trial a fully soil biodegradable pot which means that you don’t need to take plants out of their pots before planting. Yes that is right – you plant them with their pots on!!

Whether placing into a flower bed or a larger container, you plant the whole thing.  That’s because the pots are soil biodegradable so over time the pot will break down and then disappear.

So how does it work?

The pots are made from sugarcane fibre. They biodegrade thoroughly once in the soil.

Is it safe?

Yes the pots are fully soil-safe. Over time the pots convert into biomass, Co2 and water. They are microplastic free and if you did remove the pot, it is fully compostable.

Will my plant still grow well?

The pots support root aeration, moisture balance and healthy plant development so your plants will continue to thrive
